Covers | Lady Mechanika: La Dama de La Muerte #1 (Benitez Productions)

The coloring on these covers for this upcoming series is spectacular! It should feature some of Joe Benitez’ best work yet. According to Joe the first issue just went to print so we should see it at the end of the month! (S) Joe Benitez, M. M. Promo: VELVET by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting

Edit I‘ve just finished reading the first arc of VELVET by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting. It’s a really classy book…a spy caper/paranoid thriller book with style and grace. If you enjoyed what these two did on Captain America and the Winter Soldier books in the past, you’ll likely dig this too. I think it’s Brubaker’s best work to date, and Steve Epting’s art is even sleeker than it was on those Marvel books. Love the female lead, Velvet Templeton. Trade collection of the first 5 issues comes out on June 18th for $9.99. https://imagecomics.com/comics/releases/velvet-vol.-1-before-the-living-tp

The Classic 1988 ad for Marvel’s X-book crossover storyline Inferno – Artwork by Marc Silvestri Circa 1988. Easily one of my favorite comic book storylines of all time. It starred the X-Men (and their extended family). The story was Masterminded by writer Chris Claremont, with help from New Mutants & X-Factor writer Louise Simonson, and their editor Ann Nocenti, with issues drawn by legendary superstars Marc Silvestri and Walter Simonson.
